Over the summer, I enjoyed Mickey’s delusions of grandeur. For others, those same antics created a perfect villain to root against. We spend so much time entertaining ourselves this way. When unexpected tragedies happen, I think the humanity behind it hits extra hard. RIP Mickey & love to her family

There’s so many younger fans of these games that play them online. I mean it wasn’t someone in their 30s who made the first TikToks for BB or fan cams for players I’m sure. The nature of these shows is that the players make them special, nothing more or less.

My more measured response is that Survivor doesn’t need these forced cameos because the show and by extension social-strategy games have already been proven to be timeless and gain a new audience.
