I’ve been staying at my folks in Texas since Helene. While grateful I survived and that eventually, I’ll be able to move my tiny house here and start over, it’s been hard to know what to do with myself. Last night I made dinner for my parents as a thank you. First time I felt normal in 40 days.

In 2024 so far, I’ve lost my uterus to a hysterectomy, my best friend/ex husband to cancer, my hometown to Hurricane Helene, and my country to an election. I’m all grieved out. But I’m feeling a book shaping up in my head. Would love to talk to some writers about where to start.

I had a hard time today. Doing simple things. Found myself going back and forth from tears to anger and back again. Just remember it’s important to rest and take care of yourself. This is going to be a long road. 💙
