Meanwhile, several of Trump’s nominees for key appointments actively pushed for PAFACA. It’s possible to make too much of that — the president-elect has not historically cherished unsolicited advice, particularly when it goes against his own perceived self-interest. And Trump has made clear that, to the extent he feels warmly for TikTok, it is only because it may have helped him win the election. And so on one hand, anything still remains possible for TikTok in America. On the other hand, though, every day brings us closer to a ban. And aside from getting the Supreme Court to intervene, at this point it’s not clear what TikTok could do about it.
