If your peer has written something for you to read and evaluate, do them the courtesy of reading the whole thing first once, without commenting along the way! Then if you still want to, go back and comment.

Note to self: It is easier to communicate, debate, and tear apart an existing idea, than to create a new idea from scratch. So if you have something to say, or you want someone’s input, write something down for them to engage with directly.

There are essentially 0 cases in the English language where a Q isn’t followed by a U. So why do we bother? Can’t Q just make that sound on its own?!

Been exploring #swiftlang again after years of ignoring it. Honestly, it’s the language I’ve been missing. The ergonomics alone as worth a look. But the best thing so far has been the community: forums.swift.org Seriously nice folks that just wanna help!

The most difficult part of collaborating on a code project with folks using different editors/IDEs? Formatting Markdown! There doesn’t appear to be a one size fits all solution for formatting and inserting toc 🤯

Why am I not writing code in Swift? I loved it in the past. I like the syntax, it is safe by design, and it produces seemingly fast software?!

Forming strong opinion that tools like Discord, Slack, and other "short form" communication channels are NOT good for making decisions. Longer-form tools like Notion, GitHub, etc are the right place for decisions. Short-form is great for signalling, notifications, and maybe discussion.

I need a new #sideproject to help keep me motivated! I have been enjoying #rust and fully persistent data structures lately. I'd really like to work on something #localfirst. Anyone out there with an exciting idea that I can hack on?
