Few more of the five beautiful Dotterel at North Gare just over a fortnight ago. Showed wonderfully well early one morning. Took these from outside the golf course on the East side when they wandered right up to the fence. @teesbirds.bsky.social

Now and again the five Dotterel would fly to another part of the golf course. One always seemed to be that little bit further away from the others when they flew. @teesbirds.bsky.social

After eating quite a few caterpillars it was chill time though it seemed to get a little too warm for him in the sunshine. Flew to the shady part of a tree not long after.

So very lucky when one of 5 Ring Ouzel among a flock of Fieldfare on the Durham moors landed and fed very close to me very early one morning last month.

The Glaucous Gull which landed on South Marine Park lake, South Shields very briefly a couple of weeks ago. It was only there 49 seconds so I count myself very lucky indeed. Many thanks to Steve for finding and reporting. #Birds #NEbirding

Snow Buntings at South Gare a few weeks ago. Were 9 that sunny morning feeding well and showing very nicely. Stunning birds! Great to see there were still some about there yesterday.

Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better the Ross's Gull was reported again from South Shields. After a quick dash I was lucky enough to get views of this stunning bird. Thanks to finder Mark and John who relocated that day. Lifer no. 2!
