Since 1981, CARECEN has remained true to its long history of facilitating the process of transition for immigrants to an integrated life in their new home and equipping them to play an essential role in the advancement of the community.
DC residents are facing a critical moment. Federal threats to sanctuary protections, health coverage, and food assistance & deep cuts to local safety net programs-are putting well-being of our communities at risk. Join us for this discussion on 12/9

"They are creating the war zone and then calling it a ‘war zone.’ It was not that before. If you want to really help folks in Chicago, we need resources, not boots on the ground in terms of ICE.”

Today, we remember the canonization of Saint Romero, celebrated on October 14, 2018, under the late Pope Francis. We are proud, at CARECEN, to honor his legacy and the deep impact he had on our community. His faith and dedication continue to inspire us all. #SaintRomero #LegacyOfFaith

Today, as we celebrate the dignity of labor and the contributions of workers across the country, we hold space and stand in solidarity for those whose labor is undervalued and criminalized, especially immigrant workers who build our communities and care for our loved ones.
