Excited to share my Plates are on Verse, a platform I've admired for its thoughtful approach to digital art. This ongoing series examines life's impermanence through themes of memory, time, and the natural world, shaped by motherhood and an attempt to hold what cannot be held through image-making.

The wild horses I photograph embody a spirit of freedom and resilience—a reminder of what it means to be untamed and true to oneself. Capturing them is more than just a visual journey; it’s a quiet conversation with nature, a chance to witness the raw beauty of life unfolding without restraint.

I’m drawn to the way light falls, the way time seems to slow for just a moment.

Wildfire Sky, 2021

Did you know the sun in this photograph was a vibrant pink hue from the wildfire smoke? It's what created the hauntingly beautiful grayscale tones of this image.

Artists; don’t give into pressure that you need to share something, that’s not what art is about.

AI can never replace my experiences recoded through my lens. Photography will always have an element of truth to it that hits differently. It may take some time to appreciate its value long term, but I’m betting my future as an artist on it.
