Ah the red mars series i can recommend, that was fantastic. Also im hoping the later books in this series will be better.

Wow the timing nancy. So im reading the Green Earth series by Kim Stanley (better known for red mars). Anyway end i was just reading the end of the first book yesterday, and it uh, basicly this happens.

Yeah its an option you can only change in the bios, i had a rough time finding it to after someone told me. I think the name can change depending on what motherboard you have to heh.

I had a similar problem once. Do you also have a AMD 5000 series?. For me I had to turn off global C state controls in the bios.
Its something to do with undervolting to save power and my 5700 didn't handle that well.
