This infographic describes the Healthy Eating and Supportive Environments (HEAL) study protocol within the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow’s Health (CanPath). The study collects new online data on diet and movement over a one-year period using multiple surveys. Participants report food, drinks, and activities from the past week and month, the past day (up to four times), and the past year. HEAL data are then linked with existing CanPath data, including social factors such as age and gender, health outcomes such as cancer incidence, and information on built, social, and food retail environments.

Today is World Diabetes Day. What can we learn from existing diabetes data? Type 2 diabetes: 12,805 participants with data only, 5,271 with data and biosamples only, and 4,391 with data, biosamples, and genotyping data. Type 1 diabetes, 1,631 with data only, 540 with data and biosamples only, and 399 with data, biosamples, and genotyping data.
