I’m still stumped by the whole PG furry con thing, but I had fun spending the afternoon and most of the evening at AnthroNW with friends. Highlights included getting to chat with Paco Panda and finding some cool pins. And yeah, I get excited to see dingo representation. I may have gotten two. 😂

Bittersweet New Year here. I managed to capture the last sunset of the year, as well as last one of my grandmother’s life, overlooking Seattle’s Museum of Flight on my bus ride home from work. The first time I visited it was with her and my grandfather as a kid.

I tried these out a while ago, and what better time to post them than New Years! I don’t usually go for super high absorbency diapers, but couldn’t resist trying these out. Check out the size of a single pack next to a Nalgene! Seriously wide and thick.

Starting off 2025 I decided I wanted to clear out my student loans by the end of the year, and holy crap, I just paid off grad school! Never mind the lump sum it just took to get there, which I’ll be feeling for a while. Now to pay off the car, the roof, the home rehab loan. . . 😂

Ok, I’m curious. Who has gone to Anthro NW? Was it fun? I’m tempted to go, but I’m also stumped by the whole all-ages zero tolerance of any adult content aspect of the thing.

Being curious to reexamine my own neurodivergence and ADHD diagnosis led to getting a copy this week of the neuropsychological report that was completed after a full round of testing when I was in 8th grade (in 1997 😅) and I gotta say, revisiting that has been a bit wild.

A day and a half surrounded by 1-7 years olds had me feeling totally overwhelmed by the constant noise and chaos. Getting a beer at Portland’s Eagle and hearing guys talk about what Star Trek Voyager characters they jerked off to has me feeling much more grounded.

I gotta say, unfolding and slipping a goodnite pad under myself without waking my partner up was quite the challenge after realizing I should’ve worn something thicker than a Bambino Biancho to bed. Didn’t feel like changing though, and I don’t think I woke him up. 😅

Every few years I’ll read a Redwall book or two (or 5) when I feel the need for something light. The one I’m reading currently has me all aflutter for big gruff tattooed sea otters. Never mind how tattoos would work with fur. (The badgers also leave me swooning. 😂) Formative furry stuff for sure.

Making a quick trip down to Portland in my old wagon Saturday night through Sunday afternoon included getting photos of my odometer flipping over to 365k miles while doing precisely 65mph. *Totally isn’t easily amused.* Also, older photo, but same car as this post-hike change.

I took Saturday off to hike up to a forest fire lookout in the North Cascades. Not sure it made up for being a bit of a hermit lately, but it was pretty nice out there! 😅
