Eglinton Crosstown was supposed to be testing today. I walked the whole above-ground portion but didn’t see any action, except for a crew *pouring concrete* at one of the stations.

Mixed feelings on seeing the *entire* single rider queue at AlpenFury filled with groups.
They knew what they were getting into (I hope), but when I visit the park alone, that little perk of being able to lap rides vanishes.
Main queue: ~110 minutes
Singles: ~90 minutes 🫠

Nice over-centre mechanism here for lifting the side plates of the movable station floor into place on AlpenFury.

AlpenFury was my 538th coaster, and absolutely blew away my expectations, which were very, very high.
Wonderland may not have any idea what they have done, but they and Premier have created one of the best roller coasters in the entire world.
10/10.

Clearly the correct solution here is to rip out the useless, ugly, 1900s ass, bad for ops, “heritage” trainshed; replace it and electrify with OCS.
The fact that “municipal heritage” overrides the most important infrastructure project in the country is a MASSIVE indictment of our planning process.
