So, bummer news
The filament I used for Samus’s beam cannon is hard to find now. I found one seller, and it was expensive, but they reached out and said, “we’re so sorry, but our remaining stock has been crushed.” So now I may need to pay double somewhere to continue this project.

My first Metroid game was Prime 2: Echoes, in grade school. I did not get very far bc the game terrified me.

Now as a seasoned Metroid veteran and big brave boy, I finally return to the game, only to realize OH, this was just THE SCARIEST ONE ANYWAY 💀

Personal project this week: Samus Aran’s beam cannon from Metroid Prime. At 1:2 scale it’ll theoretically be able to change between all 4 beam shapes by pushing buttons, plus an opening missile nozzle. Unfortunately it’s not hollow, but meh. I also want to design a display stand when I’m done!

#transformers Got toyhax labels for my Siege Soundwave. Unpopular opinion, but I love his official alt mode. A stealth bomber is perfect for a modern Soundwave that can still deploy minions. Plus, his fan modes can be a cybertronian boombox akin to his highmoon design or a military-styled satellite
