In the end, the actions taken, or the absence of actions, by UN personnel and organizations in #Ethiopia will be viewed as clearly inadequate. This criticism is not limited to those focused on women's rights, but also applies to agencies like WFP, Human Rights, IOM, and more.

The brutal truth is that what took place in Tigray amounts to probably the worst case of conflict related sexual violence anywhere in the world, at least in recent times. The UN refrains from calling it this, because it doesn't want to reveal that many of its staff were complicit bystanders.
