Sometimes I feel like a fraud of a writer, like all my creative energy goes to my students. Then there are days like today where—despite a pile of teacherly projects to work on—I pushed everything aside and wrote 3500 words. As part of my fucking job. Aren’t I—in the end—just so damn lucky?
