If it had been left up to Toriyama, there’d essentially be no women in DB, as he had his fill of writing girls on Dr Slump, but his editors kept pushing him.

What could have been:
When casting for the first Ranma anime, the producers weren’t yet sure if the male and female Ranma would have different VAs or not.
Mayumi Tanaka was in the running to be them both!
So rather than Usopp voicing Ranma we would have had Luffy!
