A very nerdy podcast about plants. Unusual edibles, habitat gardens, cultural context… let’s get deep in the weeds!
In this episode of Propaganda By the Seed, I’m talking with Dr. Bob Bors about Haskaps. Bob spent many years working with this species and selected and named some of the best varieties around. edgewood-nursery.com/podcast/2025...

I’m starting to schedule interviews and I’ve got a bunch of plants I’m interested in cover where I don’t have a guest in mind. A ideal guest would have deep knowledge of the plant from years of personal experience. They could be a farmer, gardener, nursery producer, academic, breeder, herbalist etc.

Today I'm reposting the very first podcast I was ever on, an episode of The Solecast from 2018. This podcast sparked my friendship with Tim which led, eventually, to collaborating on Propaganda By the Seed. edgewood-nursery.com/podcast/2025...

Today I’m talking about composting. It's a big topic so even though this is a bit longer than average for a short episode, it's really just an intro to the topic. I'll cover how different types of composting work and then focus in on my favorite, the static pile. edgewood-nursery.com/podcast/2025...

Not sure why you would want to, but you can now listen to propaganda by the seed on YouTube. I really dislike doing video production, so I basically don’t do it. There are some handy seed cleaning tutorials on there too that @youngsole put together. m.youtube.com/@infiniteohms

I meant to include this with the grafting episode of Propaganda By the Seed… This shows a tool for splitting rootstocks for cleft grafting. A scrap of thin wood with a 3/8” hole drilled in it. It lets you to cut towards the hand holding the rootstock without risking cutting your hand if you slip.
