He's wearing a tall cowboy hat, a belt, and pointy boots, and is resting on a bunch of baggage against his horse, which is normal-looking except for some buglike features (feathered antennas for ears and two sharp mandibles). They're resting in a desert night next to a fire. In the background lurks the second character, Huck Bristlecone, an anthropomorphic Western conifer seed bag whose wings are formed into a cool red cape. He's also wearing a red hat and holding a gun, looking sneaky and suspicious. The sheriff and the horse don't know he's there as they keep sleeping.

She has luminous green fin-like hair with dark streaks and glowing green eyes with black scleras, large fin-like ears and long sharp fangs in a very wide mouth. Behind her ears, her pinkish red gills are visible. Her skin is blue and gets darker towards her tail. On her chest and all the way down to the tip of her tail are two rows of luminous lime green spots, and on her back there's a long antenna-like organ that ends in another luminous lime green bulb. She's wearing a red tube-top around her chest and her left upper arm is decorated with an armlet made out of fallen teeth secured to the arm by a red sash. She has webbed hands and two fins on her wrists. She's smiling endearingly and petting a deep sea hatchetfish with large bulbous light blue eyes, several more hatchetfishes lining up behind it for their turn to be cherished. Swarms of little deep sea lanternfish are attracted to her lights.
