I'm working today, so I can't go outside. But the last time we had significant snow in the Charlotte area (2018), I did this. I'm mentally doing it again today.

If you really want to feel old(er), the Challenger explosion was 40 years ago today: Jan. 28, 1986.

Some of you know that I like fun baseball T-shirts. With spring training around the corner, I’ve started a small shop on Tee Public. I’ve got more than 100 designs (I’ve used a lot of templates) that range from mildly silly to really silly. There are dad jokes too. www.teepublic.com/user/simple-...

I love watching players learn they've made the Hall of Fame.

I found my first “press” pass. This would’ve been 1993-94. The best thing about it was that it let you roam the halls during class. You can tell I was both cool and serious because I’m wearing a tie.

My first Hall of Fame ballot was a thrill and an honor. But it was harder than I thought.

It was 25 years ago today that I began my career as a professional journalist. The journey from then to now has been a blast, even with the industry’s curveballs. On that first day at The Gaston Gazette, I never would’ve envisioned covering baseball for a living. I’m undeservedly blessed.

I’m normally opposed to all uses of “tis the season” in copy during the holidays, but the Blue Jays found a way to make it a little fresh. I’ll allow it this once.

David Wright has an interesting Hall of Fame case. For example, he played 1,585 games and compiled an .867 OPS. The only primary third basemen in history to play at least that many games and have a higher OPS are:

--Chipper Jones
--Mike Schmidt
--Eddie Mathews

On this day 70 years ago, Doc Brown slipped and fell while hanging a clock and hit his head on the edge of the sink. When he came to, he had a revelation, a vision, a picture in his head. A picture of this. This is what makes time travel possible. The flux capacitor. #Thankful

The Blue Jays look like they're in total control. But it's only Game 5, and it's the Dodgers. So, it brings Rambo no pleasure to report the following ...

On this day in 1991, the Braves and Twins played Game 7 of the World Series — one of the greatest games ever. But what happened after the game, in private and outside the view of TV cameras, might’ve been the best part of the whole series. From 2021: www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/news/...
The inside story of how the Braves and Twins saved the best parts of the 1991 World Series for after it was over | Sporting News
If it's possible for the best parts of a World Series to come after it has ended, 1991 offered a glimpse of what it might look like.
