How does one become a leading think tank? I see reports that quote these leading think tanks, but ever since I've been aware they're a thing the state of government and the country has got worse. What do they actually do apart from shit on policies that will help the population?

Our fridge beeps when the door is left open, but this doesn't work if the door is ajar. It beeps at you when you're unloading your shopping, but not when the door has accidentally been left open a little. Bloody useless and annoying.
