Woke up today to a more important moment of clarity (and not an epiphany). Over the past month I've spent about €300 making small yet important improvements to the house. And the clarity this morning is to now make small but improvements to myself - I have a list πŸ˜‚ - and think I can pull it off 🀞🏻

My first rainy day after 10 days of 🌞. In Sarnico. Know the v are well. All I wanted was pasta for lunch. Hard to find actually. Went into a touristy place (tho Lake Iseo isn't touristy). 10 local Nonnas walk in for lunch (must be a rglr thing). Good was πŸ‘πŸ», but Nonna validation priceless πŸ˜‚

I got lucky. My company sent me to Ireland to set to and run a sub. Loved it, decided to stay, guy citizenship. But if you have money you can do it.

House sat for a week in Capriolo. Planty of housing, not touristy, in the Lake Iseo area. Spent a lot of time here. Now looking at houses. The view from my friend's cafe in Adrara San Rocco. The world is a big place, but the reality is it's not that easy for πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ to move to πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί

I'm assuming you've read Spotto's biography. Tho obvs not by a woman. Ms. Monroe and her life are topics I know well from a lot of professional exp years ago, but inappropriate for public discourse. And this is the book I was told to read. www.amazon.com/Marilyn-Monr...

But there not all the same, look for one that is not built for racing, had a more "relaxed" geometry (your more upright when riding).

As pointed out, that is a road bike. The most important thing about about any bike is the fit. Hardtails are much more comfortable than road bikes (my road bike is basically permanently attached to a smart trainer).

Walking my dog on San Vincente in Brentwood in late 00's. Guy sitting outside a restaurant with his two dogs. Talked dogs with Ryan O'Neal for a couple of minutes while the dogs sized each other up.

Lost in Translation is always a great movie. And for personal reasons, the Evelyn Waugh scene is, and always has been, just perfection.

Did a 2.5/5 route on Zwift this morning, after *only* doing 1/5 routes so far. 21k, a (to me) real hill, but I finished it πŸ˜ƒ. Legitimately feel it in my quads, but well worth it. Tomorrow will be an easier route tho πŸ˜‚

@zwiftrides.bsky.social hi. Question if you don't mind: is there a way to see the profile of a route ahead of time?

So, calibrated the Kickr. My wK went up ~50%. The Kickr app said first calibration. It had been moved a fair bit during the painting of the house. Anyhoo, I think the wK makes more sense now. I'll still very average πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜€
I need to ride ~15k tomorrow to reach my weekly Zwift goal, and hopefully I will.

13k Zwifting today πŸ‘πŸ». Felt easy.* Did the full loop. Was a flat course, but still.

*Hopefully not famous last words. And I did take yesterday off. Finally averaged over 100 watts.**

** Lowered my weight in the app after the ride, bc pretty sure I weigh less and am underestimating power.

The Internet delivered. Find the contact info for the person who designs and also sells the Lithuanian Biathlon Team kit. A hoodie or a zip up will be a present to myself at some point πŸ‘πŸ»

Watching European Biathlon ChampionshipsπŸ˜€. Lithuania has the best warm up kit. I would buy a jacket, so off to be disappointed by Google bc I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to find it πŸ˜”

Day 2 back on Zwift. 26 minutes, 10k and a little. I'm going to try and finish the loop this week. Another 2.6k.

Still slow slow slow πŸ˜‚, but feels great, and I'll get a little better, at least, if I keep at it πŸ‘πŸ»

My head missed this tho πŸ˜€
