Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.
They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.
The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

I am absolutely convinced that media literacy should be explicitly taught K-12. Not in a “here and there” integration kind of way, but a systematic scope and sequence kind of way. #medialiteracy #edusky #tlsky

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.
