The heat is out again (thanks to my ancient boiler), and it's colder in the house than it is in the refrigerator. He's mad that he's wearing a sweater but also mad that he's cold. So he just keeps hissing at me.

I cooked my solo Christmas dinner before traveling to see family. Made pan seared duck breast (which I freaking nailed) with savory blueberry sauce, roasted sweet potato and spinach salad with bacon, blueberry, blue cheese and pickled red onions. Paired with Chehalem Statement pinot noir.

Flew out of the brand new terminal at PIT on opening morning! It is massive and absolutely gorgeous. The staff was out in full force to make sure things went smoothly, and it was amusing to see every single news station reporting from it.

Yesterday, we celebrated this handsome fellow's quinceanera! Brian was born with multiple congenital cardiac defects and was only supposed to live a few years, but here he is on his 15th birthday. Happy birthday, Brian!
