I know this probably sounds petty and might be a hot take, but these seems to be a tendency for new Silent Hill (non-remake) games to not actually take place in Silent Hill and that's a thing that makes me lose total interest.

My parents are visiting next week. Lived on the west coast for 7 years and this is their first time (visited them... oh, maybe 10 times in the past 7 years so that seems fair). Really trying to use this as an incentive/opportunity for much needed sprucing up and organizing around the house.

Sometimes you have to buy a questionably legit Malaysian DVD box set of a mid-aughts Japanese comedy that takes nearly a month to arrive. Sometimes you just do that.

The fun thing about watching Olympics coverage in the world of streaming is that you too can just sit here and do nothing during frequent long stretches of downtime. It's just like being at the Olympics in-person!!!!

My life right now is refreshing tracking info for a couple international DVD purchases to see them just hanging out in customs waiting for the kindly customs people to push them back off into the wilds of the mail system for me.
