Very sad to say goodbye yesterday to John Tatham (5 Nov 1922 - 4 July 2025), a long-serving member of the BSO's 2nd violin section. At 102, he was still playing at the BSO's 50th Anniversary concert in May. RIP John, you'll be missed by so many

Fabulous first rehearsal on James Frances Brown's specially commissioned 'Flourish for Orchestra' last week. Can't wait to perform it at our 50th annivesary concert on Sunday 18 May.
