Another exciting discovery from 2025! Though the half-black bumble bee is fairly common in other parts of the US, Missouri is at the southern extent of its range, so this is a rare find.

Bumble Bee Atlas participants have made some amazing discoveries this year! This sighting of a Morrison's bumble represents just one of only a handful of records from Nebraska—what a cool find.

The results of the 2025 August Survey Blitz are in—across twenty states, 120 Atlas participants completed 100 surveys and documented 811 bumble bees. A special thanks to everyone who participated!

The first Bumble Bee Atlas Survey Blitz of the year will be held this weekend: Friday, June 27th through Sunday, June 29th! The Blitz is a nationwide effort to collect as much data as possible over a three-day period. Learn how you can part at bumblebeeatlas.org/pages/events
