🌿2016🌿 Full disclosure: this post almost didn’t get made because trends are weird & one of us lives with a profound absence of nostalgia, but 2016 happens to have been the year we released our first album, DAVE, embarked on our first U.S. tour, made our first video & entered the chat as a real band.

In Utero was recorded at Pachyderm in Minnesota in 1993.
Surfer Rosa was recorded at Q Division in Massachusetts in 1987.
Albini opened Electrical Audio in Illinois in 1997.
Therefore, In Utero & Surfer Rosa were not recorded at Electrical Audio. Recorded by Steve, yes, but not there.

This song floated into my head the other day. It was originally called WINTER SONG because I wrote it in January (mentioned in the first line). When I recorded it years later, I changed the name to MAYBE I’LL FLY INSTEAD, which sounds lovely and light, but it’s actually a fairly heavy song.
