Texas does NOT have an issue with voter fraud. The single instance of fraud have been uninformed persons with restrictions on voting, see the Crystal Mason Wikipedia entry.

What was appalling was the shoulder shrug Congress and especially the GOP gave to this most idiotic move by SCOTUS. Congress needed to act right away instead it sat on its hands while corporations lined up the money trucks to their campaign offices.

My bucket list of small town Texas did not originally have Oatmeal and then some 15 years ago I put it on because I wanted to get a photo of the water tower.. as you said it was anticlimactic when I saw someone else’s photo standing next to it and I did a Pluto rewrite for Oatmeal.

In TX I need driver license minimum to vote. Some use their US passport. Any govt issued ID with a photo is acceptable.
The ruse is that Maga pushes a specific voter id needing an added personal cost to the voter. Make it just a bit harder to vote to weed out certain classes.
