Very much looking forwand to the Lucky 7 collab tonight with Minus Mob.

Japanese inspired cocktails and ice cream. Slightly anti my own no drinking in the week rules, but it’s a one off for such a fun thing. Oh wait, I’m having cocktails tomorrow too. 😅😂

The chips sometimes land like that. 🫣

I’m at a wedding. After the speeches, I got given a bottle of Bolly as part of the thank yous, only to have it taken away for the best man to get it (I got it mistakenly). The best man also got given a brand new (amazing, poss a Strat) guitar.

But like the Murphy’s. I’m not bitter. 😅😫

Popped up to Hazlewood Castle between Leeds and York for a bit of knocking around in the lovely sun. 🤩🥳😝

The nicer weather has meant that I left work on time. And went to enjoy the terrace at Eat Vietnam in Stirchley. Yes. It’s time. 🥰🤩

It’s taken me until now to get out of my winter depression, just in time for my pre-spring depression!

Anyway, my first run of the year this evening seems to have solved that. Shame I was too depressed to try running before now in 2025. 😆

My work lunch for the week. Minus the 5 portions of veg daily.

Looks fun. Hope it is. 🤩

Great night at Caneat (Stirchley) last night at a talk by ex @loaf.coop founder Tom discussing his career path, using 6 loaves that were integral to his journey. All the way to two loaves w/Welsh influence now that he has started rye and roses in Machynlleth.

And also some butter making too.❤️

I’ve just accidentally ordered a whole chicken meal with two sides at Peria in Cotteridge.

Oops.

1.4kg of chicken, peri fries and coleslaw . £16. 💥

When I was at school, if I ever saw someone being bullied, I’d help out the victim…if I could.

Imagine if I’d have only helped if I could have the victims bag and trousers? And then held his arms back, as he was being bullied, until he agreed?

How is the world allowing this?

Todays lunch. I’ve gone for the classic Buldak noodle. A shop near work is doing 4 for £5.

So this one is the hot chicken, with the cheese powder topping (yellow pack).

Made with my usual addition of spring onion, celery, carrot, mushroom, and baby sweetcorn…but with some cashews as a treat. 🤩

So I’ve had terrible sleep since Sunday. Blocked nose. Some nosebleeds. Then nose blocked all day. Antihistamine seems to give some relief. Thought it may be the work dog.

Just looked and the tree pollen count is high. I don’t get hay fever. BUT I may now get hay fever. 😩🫣

So here’s the link if you are interested. The BBC Upload show. It was on air twice this past week.

And it’s got a big chunk (yes, chunk) of me, slap bang in the middle (1 hour 10 in, onwards, with a couple of songs in between)

I’m on BBC Sounds. 😂😂😂

Tonight I did my first ever radio interview. And it’s already on Sounds.

Terrified before. Pretty happy after. Not allowed to say too much yet. More to come maybe tomorrow. 😇

I just had a baked Camembert. With chilli ginger chutney. In February. It was bloody good. But I feel absolutely terrible for it. Maybe.

Managed to bag a cancellation spot at Rabbit last night. (Hugely difficult)

Superb prix fixe menu on a Monday, at £30 a head. Plus snacks and drinks.

Neighbourhood, intimate, kitchen counter dining at its finest.

It doesn’t get much better than this for local dining.❤️

Just been to the German Cafe, Shirley. It was fab.

Had the Siegerlaender Kruestchen.
Basically a pork schnitzel on German bread, with mushroom sauce, a fried egg, fried potatoes, a salad and potato salad. 👌🏼
