Happy 28th anniversary Xenogears!
Truly a legend of the PS1 era and RPGs in general.

May it one day get a port. It probably never will but it's nice to dream.

I have, in fact, posted a game twice lol.

But Onimusha 2 is worth it.

Save Dominique from the Mikado Corporation on today’s #RandomGameSaturday

The Bouncer was Square’s debut PS2 title. Visually stunning for its time (still kinda is!), has a ridiculous story that’s peak Square, great music and ok gameplay. As of this post, it has not been rereleased in any form.

Travel to A.D 2172 on today’s #RandomGameSaturday.

Remember when Zone of The Enders used to be a franchise? No other mecha action game plays quite like it. Mostly remembered for that demo, it’s a solid albeit short game that gets expanded upon in a GOATed sequel.

On today’s #RandomGameSaturday, it’s a deep cut that not even Square Enix remembers all that much.

Samurai Legend Musashi. Back when making a successor to PS1 cult classic Brave Fencer Musashi was possible just because. I remember it for its striking cel-shaded visuals and OST by Masashi Hamauzu.

Don't mind me, I am browsing the Saturday posts.

(To make sure I don't post the same game twice lol)

From the depths of Konami’s archives, today on #RandomGameSaturday it’s Ring of Red.

An interesting blend of turn-based strategy gameplay for movement and real-time for combat. Never had a follow-up or anything. Just its own thing. It’s a CD-ROM format so it makes my PS2 sound like a jet engine.

In honor of Resident Evil 9: Requiem, on today’s #RandomGameSaturday I present Resident Evil Outbreak.

A unique multiplayer centric RE (that you can play solo) featuring survivors escaping Raccoon City during the events of RE2-3. One of the playable characters was a reporter named Alyssa Ashcroft.

On today’s #RandomGameSaturday, I bring you *the* PS2 game.

Metal Gear Solid 2 needs no introduction. Leaps ahead of the curve and with a twist so daring you could never replicate it again. Raiden was nowhere in pre-release trailers or on the box. Common knowledge now but completely hidden in 2001.

Oh baby. It's time for another #RandomGameSaturday and we have landed on one of the most infamous Capcom sequels.

Devil May Cry 2 almost killed the franchise (it sold well though). Dante was basically silent. It introduced Lucia and the series never mentioned her again and the gameplay was easy.

Squad 7! It’s time to move out on today’s #RandomGameSaturday.

In an era of brown and grey FPS best sellers came one of the most refreshing and unique strategy games around. Valkyria Chronicles is a pure gem with an interesting battle system, compelling cast and gorgeous watercolor art style.

From the depths of Capcom’s archives. A game I bet they don’t remember. Today on #RandomGameSaturday I bring you - Chaos Legion.

A sort of DMC like but has a unique twist where main character Sieg Wahrheit can summon creatures called Legions to fight for him, each with their own abilities.

Day 5: Favorite villain

Would I say Sephiroth? Too easy. I love that the first time you see him is when you reach the flashback in Kalm in the original. He is barely mentioned in Midgar. His presence is legendary. They showed restraint.

Anyway, it’s Kefka or Kuja.

This blew up more than I thought lmao.

Yes, Onimusha 2 is the most replayable entry because of its branching story paths based on which character likes Jubei more. They made an awesome samurai game and then added an entire dating sim mechanic.
And finishing Onimusha 2 presents you with a flowchart of the game's events and which scenes you saw on your playthrough.

Imagine putting in this much effort. And you thought Resident Evil 2's A/B scenario system was intricate. I'm psyched for another run.
February 10, 2026 at 11:18 AM
Idk why this blew up but yes Onimusha 2’s final boss is the most memorable final battle in the series.
Onimusha 2's final boss is still peak unhinged Capcom.

None of it is prerendered compared to the entire rest of the game and the remastered visuals makes it look crazy for a 2002 video game. Goes so hard.

Suikoden brings everyone together, just like the 108 Stars of Destiny 😂
I almost lost my mind.
