For the 4th fall season in a row our eastern phoebe friend, Caesar, has come to help with the leaves. We make a great team. I rake and mulch the leaves and Caesar cleans up the bugs and worms where I rake. Caesar is a unique and amazing bird. ❤️ As you can see, he has basically no fear of me. #birds

Our eastern bluebird male, Harry, wasn’t too happy with a carolina wren visiting his house uninvited. Harry and Sally won’t start building a nest until February but Harry is already protecting the house. They were both okay and back in the house (separately) the next day. 🪶

We have a birdhouse cam in our backyard and have enjoyed the bluebirds nesting there for the past four years. We named the bluebird couple Harry and Sally. This is the first time this fall Sally has dropped in. It sounds like Harry was rummaging around on top of the house.
