The game and commercials were mostly boring, the halftime show was dece, and the side commentary was completely embarrassing.

Hell yeah, Seattle.

I wish you all could’ve seen the way I just kicked my shorts off my leg, all the way across the room and right into my open shorts drawer.

Perfection.

On a south side dive bar crawl and someone played the insane clown posse on the jukebox. I am so happy.

My company is doing a Super Bowl ad with Lady Gaga. If you need some positive, neighbor-focused energy, here's a preview of the track... inspired by Mr Rogers: www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3o5...

Last night’s Colbert and Jon Stewart monologues were nailed…

Minus Jordan Klepper’s bit, they articulated everything that I’ve been feeling about the Alex Pretti murder and our administration’s response.

Absolutely worth a watch.
These are dark times.

Played my first game of hockey in a month last night.

Skated hard, got a couple assists, steals, scored a goal, and took a puck to the shoulder.

Starting today sore and drained af. 🫠🪫

This administration is a fucking joke. Anyone who supported these people, whatever you saw in them… I hope you can now shun these fucked, corrupt pieces of shit.

If you can’t, you are also a fucking joke.

I started taking a vitamin d supplement a little over a month ago and cannot believe the difference it’s made in my life.

Seasonal depression: gone.
Motivation: high af… like it used to be.

Do you say, “bear down” when they win or when they lose?
January 19, 2026 at 5:45 AM
Boarding the flight just when the bears come back and go into overtime… this has been a fun season.

Serious question: Why isn’t there a Casey’s serving pizza by the slice inside the Des Moines Airport? Add beer and bloodies. Call it Casey’s Tavern or Casey’s Concourse. It’d be the most popular spot in DSM, hands down.

Whenever I get sick, I try to pretend like it’s not real… but it’s not working this time.

Flu weekends are the worst weekends.

The United States is fucked.

The latest iterations of iOS and watchOS are the buggiest, most beta-feeling releases that I can remember.

… It’s almost like apple lost focus after falling behind on AI, so the dev teams are stuck in a cycle of launching a bunch of half baked shit while leadership figures out wtf they’re doing.

Today is the first day of the holiday break that has truly felt like a holiday break.

Not sure if I’m ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Child funerals are brutal, man.
Elias was such a cool kid.
Shit is unfair.

Made it to Chicago in 4.5 hours… with a stop. 🏎️

Sunday, we lost our “nephew,” Elias, at just 17. He and his family fought with everything they had after an unimaginable diagnosis. He was an incredibly special kid with big aspirations.

Sending so much love to Steph, Manuel, Ian, Sherry, Elizabeth, Jon, and all who loved him. Rest easy, buddy.

Tonight after golf league, I went to a local bar with my buddy, Carson. A random dude down the bar makes eye contact and then holds up his phone with a giant photo of Les Claypool.
Points at me, then the phone.

Guess I'm out here looking like Les Claypool.

I’ve reached the point in life where I now use a pill organizer.

I also meal prepped my lunches this week.

Kill me now.
