Neurodiverse migrant. Ask not only what His Noodliness The Flying Spaghetti Monster would do, but also which sauce should accompany the act.
Entering fourth week of no #totp ‘cos I’m too cheap to use a VPN from here in Bulgaria. Did I miss anything? #PlayWhamYouBastards

Sad to read today of death of Zsa Zsa, aka Andy Billups of The Hamsters. Amazingly talented musician who just made it all look so elegant and easy.

After making his millions and wondering what it was all about, Del & Rodney retired to the Balkans and built a small loose-leaf tea enterprise.

20yrs ago just before Daughter-The-Younger was born in Sofia, I entered the premises of the only purveyor of #ChrisRea’s boxed set Blue Guitars in the city. It was an oasis of joy for me being thousands of miles from my home culture, to have access to the music he lived for, the music that was him.

Hello again from #Sofia in Bulgaria - the last of my Leva were automatically converted into Euro yesterday by my bank, still have a few smaller banknotes though …a journey here that started for me before BG became part of the EU.

At the dentists this morning and a chilling sense of doom fell upon me as jingly jangly music emerged from the aural shadows unto my ears. Had no need to worry, hadn’t been early #Whamageddon -ed, was just Live Aid.

Phew, etc.

Great story behind the Guess Who’s iconic ‘American Woman’

It was the first time a Canadian band had a #1 hit in the US.

It was an anti-Vietnam war song.

It was created because Randy Bachman was tuning his guitar.

Very cool.

Remembering back to this time last year when I spent a few weeks in the gloriousness that is Nova Scotia, so here’s a red unshaking Shaker seat resplendent upon some rocks at Peggy’s Cove.

Every corner turned in Rome presents a new vista and clues to past lives…
November 23, 2025 at 11:07 AM
A mere 5 mins from Basilica di San Pietro in Rome, there’s a beautiful hotel where first-time tourists to the city attempt to rest their very weary legs.

Twixt the two is an emergency hospital which will constantly challenge the weary tourist’s peace, and question their choices.

I look forward to the day Letterboxd definitively replaces Rotten Tomatoes as the go-to site for film-related opinions. It already wipes the floor with IMDb and TMDB for reliability & user-friendliness. And now this. Let us pray it doesn't end up being sold to amazon or equivalent.
Letterboxd Video Store. Coming early December 2025. 👀

Work has kept me far away from the real world today, so very sad to learn of Mani’s death. Instantly recognisable style, amazing musicality, everything he gave us simply flowed and mingled or drove and hammered of its own design.

Back from a few days in Rome - first time there. Aside from the maps in the Vatican museum, the thing that impressed the most was the art collection. Mondrian always nails these things, and I never knew this Van Gogh existed…
