20yrs ago just before Daughter-The-Younger was born in Sofia, I entered the premises of the only purveyor of #ChrisRea’s boxed set Blue Guitars in the city. It was an oasis of joy for me being thousands of miles from my home culture, to have access to the music he lived for, the music that was him.

Hello again from #Sofia in Bulgaria - the last of my Leva were automatically converted into Euro yesterday by my bank, still have a few smaller banknotes though …a journey here that started for me before BG became part of the EU.

Work has kept me far away from the real world today, so very sad to learn of Mani’s death. Instantly recognisable style, amazing musicality, everything he gave us simply flowed and mingled or drove and hammered of its own design.

Back from a few days in Rome - first time there. Aside from the maps in the Vatican museum, the thing that impressed the most was the art collection. Mondrian always nails these things, and I never knew this Van Gogh existed…
