Nice to meet everyone!
Yesterday we brought Corn Dog home! He’s doing great so far, very sweet and affectionate. Slowly introducing him to the other cats, but they don’t seem to mind his presence. Hes a very curious, playful little guy!

I’m very tired of “productivity” culture. I’ve been in it for a a few years now and think it genuinely has done more harm than good

I spent the past few days not working and it felt amazing. Definitely the reset I needed, and now I’m ready to come home and hit the ground running!

Owning my i4 I’ve learned I’m far more of a tech guy than a car guy

I did a thing this morning

queuebase.com is now a legal entity in Illinois. This is the first company I’ve created myself for my own product. I’m nervous but incredibly excited for this next step!
Queuebase - Job scheduling for Next.js
Queuebase is a background job and queue management system for Next.js.

Why is pricing so hard to figure out?

I almost have Queuebase v2 working in a production app. Planning on doing a formal release within the next few weeks here as I get some of the finer details out. Very excited that the core is almost complete!

@expedition33.bsky.social DLC idea: play through Expedition 0 and the first Gommage 🤔

Queuebase version 2.0 is very close to launching. I will be running a few tests with it in a real project, and release an official build next week!

My app really needs payment integrations, but man ya know, now that I’m looking at these border radiuses…

Is it just me or does Copilot seem to be getting worse? I had a subscription to it through GitHub organizations and wasn’t a fan. Switched to Supermaven for a bit and loved it. I decided to give Copilot another try and feel like I fight it 90% of the time

AC went out this weekend and my house got up to 90 degrees. I felt like I was inside an air frier

That feeling when you’re trying to do something and it just isn’t working and you find a blog post you wrote about that very same thing cause younger you had the same problem

Okay I was able to get all my tables moved over from Prisma and am now going through the codebase carefully migrating queries. In my brief testing, there’s already a very noticeable improvement in performance
June 22, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Working on a migration form Prisma to Drizzle on one of my SaaS apps. For this particular app, I feel Drizzle will be the better long term solution for my database needs (still love Prisma tho ❤️)

Sneak peek at Queuebase v2. New architecture is in place for the app, I'm just wrapping up some testing with it. Next step: re-work the npm package for interacting with it!
June 15, 2025 at 2:15 PM
Using Supabase as my database and auth provider for Queuebase was the move here. Really enjoying working with the entire product!

Not me realizing that over engineering can kill project momentum, especially if you’re a solo dev trying to ship fast.

- having patterns to make your life (and everyone else’s) easier? YES
- having an architecture that has changes touching a lot of files? NO

After months of on and off workouts, I decided to get back in the gym today on a semi-normal basis. I’m gonna start small with 3 days a week and mix more cardio/yoga in at home
