We are looking down at Goofy as he cowers away from Mickey, whose shadow we can see at the bottom of the composition. Behind Goofy is a giant hole with a turbine inside, around the hole is the label "Slop Blender". Goofy, scared, says "N-now Mick, wait--it doesn't have to be like this!!" Goofy, standing in front of the slop blender, hat in hands, makes an impassioned plea: "think of all the work, toil, dedication, creativity, skill, passion, blood, sweat, tears, walk outs, pickets, strikes, sleepless nights, crumpled sketches, screaming matches, ambitions, inspiration, collaboration-- the insane and beautiful notion that people can communicate and work in tandem with such care and precision that they pull entire worlds from the ether and share them with their fellow human. every little scrap of humanity that defines our existence. The Future generations of kids who dream that one day they, too, might dedicate their lives to leaving their mark on this storied craft. do ya really want all that ground into slop, mick? for nothin'?" Micky holding a gun and wearing a trench coat in a tunnel with dramatic lighting, smiles while tears stream down his face. The financial reality, and the unpopularity of OpenAI among artists and the public makes it clear: there is no pot of gold to be found at the end of this investment hype cycle. The true path to sustainable economic growth in the entertainment industry remains today what it has always been: to invest in the human talent to create lasting stories that inspire future generations. It’s the skill and passion of thousands of regular people – not corporate executives or tech financiers – that have built the entertainment industry. It is them, and them alone, that will rebuild it. Our union will continue to organize for an animation industry whose workers are rightfully recognized as the indispensable engine of artistic creation. CAG 938 Executive Board"

It’s a bit weird making Broats. I’ve been posting shorts for 2 years and really learning, growing and refining as I go.

I feel like the next short is the first one where I feel pretty satisfied that it straight up feels like a short excerpt from an actual TV show.
