Script is done and everything's basically working as intended!

Gameplay-wise, I really just need to make sure the timing of the textboxes is okay and add a title screen + credits sequence.

Everything else is just replacing a few placeholder graphics.

Taking a small break from RPG Maker and making a micro-VN for a game jam.

Codebase is done. Script will likely be finished tomorrow. The last few days will be about polishing and putting in proper visual assets.

The game all takes place in one room, a therapist's office.

It is genuinely almost unfathomably racist to AI-generate what are effectively caricatures of black women and then publicly broadcast "commentary" on them as if they're real. Obviously the treatment of Black women is always appalling, but this really feels like we've crossed a line we can't uncross

20XX is probably my least serious game while also being the one I feel most compelled to tighten up and finish.

I basically made the entire thing with a very specific boss fight in mind, and I ran out of time to add it

I really don't like the tactic of guilt-tripping people into sharing art and acting like it's a moral failing to exclusively hit the like button.

I'd rather my work gets seen, but we're not, like, owed word-of-mouth marketing from random people just because we make things.

Planning out probably the most ambitious change we'll be making to False Fruit v2.

An area that only consisted of a single map in the original is going to be expanded into a pretty good chunk of the game.
