Rebecca Terzeon has been appointed British High Commissioner to the Republic of Zambia in succession to Mr Nicholas Woolley.

She has most recently served as Deputy Director of the Foreign Office's West Africa Department.

Ms Terzeon will take up her appointment next month.

The UK Government and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), today launched the ASEAN Green Investment Catalyst (AGIC) initiative to accelerate sustainable foreign direct investment (FDI) across Southeast Asia.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer met UNRWA Commissioner General Philippe Lazzarini.

"On funding, the Prime Minister committed to an additional £13 million to UNRWA to support vital services for Palestinian refugees in the OPTs and the region."
