Just wanted to share that today, TNG Local 1 Dispatch News Guild went public with our intention to fully unionize our shop, something that, quite frankly, should’ve happened decades ago. The intent is not to form enemies. It’s to organize for fair treatment and fight for critical staffing help.

The Dispatch can confirm a report by insider Pierre LeBrun that #CBJ are finalizing a trade to send Yegor Chinakhov to the Penguins for picks.

I've taken time off to be with family througn the holidays. The #CBJ made a late night trade to acquire F Mason Marchment from Seattle, which I like as a needed grit/depth move up front. Helps replace Olivier's missing physicality.

With these three on the ice for that 5:28, 71% of attempts were off #CBJ sticks (5-2) and the Jackets had a 1-0 edge in shots (Chinakhov's goal). According to @naturalstattrick.com, they also generated a 3-0 edge in scoring chances and didn't start in the offensive zone even one time.
Three residents of #CBJ coach Dean Evason's "dog house" produced the go-ahead goal.
Johnson sent a rebound shot off the goalie, which bounced out to the blue line, where Fabbro kept it in after leaving the zone and Chinkhov scooped it, dragged it and scored it.

#CBJ tried to change after Smith cleared the puck up the left wing wall, but the Golden Knights sent it right back at their zone before the newcomers could get into the d-zone to fully defend. Marner and Hutton had numbers and then a tying goal.

Marchenko and Marner had a big collision, unintentional, in the #CBJ zone, away from the puck. Both appear to be OK. Howden boxed for holding and the Jackets to the PP with the game 1-1 nearing the mid-point in the 2nd.

Sparsely attended optional a.m. skate for the #CBJ … but Mathieu Olivier was one of the participants. He’s considered week-to-week with his undisclosed injury, but good to see him skating.

“We haven’t been good enough.”
He meant as a team, helping the goaltending. Side step? Sure, but that’s a solid reply.
They do need to improve as a team to help keep pucks out of the net.
