A thought:

Of course administrators are pushing away from reading whole novels in English class.

Most PD is a 90 minute workshop based on a book the participants are never made to read.

Why are we surprised this practice ends up in classrooms?

If we want kids to be scholars, so must we be.

Joining #bluesky feels a bit like the day after getting separated from friends at a rager, you’re a little hungover, and you are slowly piecing it all back together and learning that your friends were there all along, but it was just too crowded and annoyingly loud.

A meaningful Turtle Art creation by a student about 6-7 years ago. The student couldn’t figure out how to align the stars accordingly. Art has wonderful ways of revealing struggle and reality. #TurtleArt
