This podcast keeps me sane and I really hope this horrible bubble bursts rather sooner than later, the environmental impact will be otherwise catastrophic

And the „traditional“ hardware providers will crash badly as well, all they concentrate on is selling AI servers or AI features, nothing of interest has been developed in recent years and what is there is horrendously overpriced
People can keep shoving their heads in the sand and "just assume this all works out," but OpenAI is becoming a form of systemic risk - one hitting Oracle, SoftBank, Crusoe, CoreWeave, NVIDIA, and possibly even Microsoft. Every single part of this is brittle and depends on near infinite resources.

Currently listening to @scalzi.com latest book, read by @wilwheaton.net, which always a fantastic combo, still have no idea in which direction this book will go and man did I get a surprise when I started it. So much fun and next time I should look at the cover before I start his next book 🤣

Bottled water, energy bars, a torch and more: the European Union is pushing for every household in the 27-country bloc to have a three-day survival kit ready in case crisis strikes - be it a conflict or natural disaster.

For those who love watching cycling but not willing to throw 30 euros at TNT get a VPN ( surfshark / nord VPN etc ) and watch the local broadcast - the classics are broadcasted in NOS, - in general think a VPN is a good idea these days anyway

Maybe the orange one will give the nuclear stuff to china for let’s say a nice new dumpf tower somewhere in china ?
after trump - oops! - accidentally has his top campaign donor fire hundreds of people from the National Nuclear Security Administration...

now we learn that, apparently, the new plan is that he's going to handle that one himself, "man to man."

whew! sigh of relief.
