Pouring one out for @rogueales.bsky.social tonight, though I didn't have a Rogue beer on hand, so I opened a bottle of Monk's Brew from Mikkeller. Thoughts are with all of the employees impacted by the news today of Rogue's sudden closure across its Oregon locations.

Washington’s Bale Breaker Brewing refreshed the recipe for its Field 41 Pale Ale this year, re-imagining it as a lighter, crisper, easier-drinking version of the original. The new recipe dropped the alcohol as well as the calories and is dubbed a Yakima Pale Ale.

The Great American Beer Festival concluded this weekend in Denver, and on Saturday the results of the beer competition were announced. 1,555 breweries and cideries submitted a total of 8,315 entries, so winning even 1 medal is a feat. Bend's UPP Liquids won 5!

On Monday, we stopped in at B2 Taphouse on the way through Salem and I enjoyed my second #freshhop beer of the season, Killer Red from Double Mountain Brewery. This India Red Ale is infused with fresh Centennial hops fresh off the bine and it's lush with pine and orange notes. Cheers! 🍻
