Took a chance and drove to Crater Lake Sunday. Stayed out in the cold wind till midnight and saw nothing. One app said things might pick up again at 2am so went back out then. Glad I did. 2nd image is about what it looked like to the naked eye - still awe-inspiring to be present. #aurora

Got my medium format film back from my walk along the aptly named Sweet Creek Falls Trail a couple weeks ago. Should have taken a tripod but it was an enjoyable and rewarding trip all around.

Took some efke IR820 Aura film to Scotland in October and the sun came out so was glad I had it. Made with a Fujifilm GA645Zi and R72 filter using ISO 3. Had been a while since I used that film and now I'm using it again bracketing around ISO 1.5.

Stopped in the middle of a narrow single-track road on the Isle of Mull and got out to make a photograph of this Highland cow. Fortunately she struck a nice pose for my one shot on film. Also fortunately no traffic.
