@ollyhogben.bsky.social has noted a couple times that Karina Schönmaier didn’t move to one of the big German training centers until she was a senior. Her club in Bremen was so small that it didn’t have a full vault runway. She’d start her vault run outside. Now she’s the European vault champion.

When I was digging up information on Doha, I saw that the scoring system in the directives was listed as “Bornan or SmartScoring or any.” I think the last one is @kensleybehel.com getting USAG to write down 2-vault scores on a piece of paper so she could take a picture and share it with people.

And you’re missing some quality entertainment if you don’t get to the rhythmic side of it.
If you are an artistic gymnastic podcast and try to explain the Russian AIN withdraw but don't mention rhymic which is now de facto controlled by Putin's secret wife and her goals you are not going to understand what happened.

The EG website describes the Euros mixed pairs event as having a cross-battle format. This doesn’t appear in the event directives or on the Turnfest website. So either it’s going to be a seeded, bracketed elimination tournament (which I’m cool with) or the EG website person is confused.
