Why is it all the really good gay coming of age films come from Europe? They treat the subject with such honesty. I just saw Young Hearts tonight. It had me remembering so much about what that was like when I was a kid. Yes, I cried because that's what I do now days.

I've wanted to do a painting like this in quite a while. It's pretty minimal compared to most of my other work. It's inspired by a photo I took of a friend back in 1979. I'm pretty happy with the results so more is on the way.
