know he’s making just his 8th start and he’ll still be a rookie in 2026, but I’m not sure he’ll have a bigger start in his entire career than tonight’s
Rematch of Game 1's starting pitching matchup of Trey Yesavage and Blake Snell tonight in Game 5. This is Yesavage's first road start in the postseason.

Our yearly tradition of Greg unplugging from baseball a week before the deadline has come and gone. I reveal all the moves that did or did not happen on air and oh boy this was a fun one

Yeah, I’m a big Mason Miller guy but holy shit you have to take this deal if it’s offered.
The San Diego Padres are acquiring RHP Mason Miller and LHP J.P Sears for SS Leo De Vries (SDP #1, MLB #3), RHP Braden Nett (SDP #3), RHP Henry Baez (SDP #13), and RHP Eduarniel Nunez (SDP #17)

Miller, who will be a FA after 2029, is 20/23 is saves
Sears has 111.0 IP under his belt, 4.95 ERA

Mason Miller AND J.P Sears are gone?
July 31, 2025 at 3:10 PM
A return like this is the only thing that would make me move Mason Miller, and honestly that might not even be enough but I’d take it
San Francisco Giants reliever Tyler Rogers is getting traded to the New York Mets for RHP Blade Tidwell (NYM #10), OF Drew Gilbert (NYM #12), and RHP Jose Butto

Rogers, has a 1.80 ERA in 50.0 IP and is running a 64.4% groundball rate. No reliever has appeared in more games since 2020 than Tyler.

There’s Nick Kurtz, then there’s everyone else who has ever played baseball. Genuinely we might have just watched the greatest offensive performance in MLB history

The Orioles now have four top-40 picks because Mike Elias just has to build teams the old fashioned way

We are doing our yearly mock draft today and I have to say, the top end of this class is far from what 2023 and 2024 had for us. It’s still a good, deep class but as far as immediate impact guys, I count maybe three

Regionals are here and we couldn’t be more excited. Here is 2+ hours of analysis and breakdowns of each regional with some picks and planets of players to watch.

I know I’m wrong on Kentucky, but I’ve been saying all year I don’t think 13 wins is going to be automatic this go around.

With how the committee picked regional hosts, that tells me how they value each conference. I think ASU is in real danger of missing the field and Virginia has no shot
FINAL PROJECTIONS
Below are our final Field of 64 Projections

Last Four In - Kansas State, USC, Arizona State, Xavier
First Four Out - Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Troy, Notre Dame
Next Four Out - Virginia, UTRGV, Virginia Tech, SE Louisiana

I had Blake Gillespie as my National Pitcher of the Year and today he racked up 13 strikeouts in 8 innings of 1 run ball for Charlotte. He’s an absolute workhorse with the stuff to back it up
