Have you ever, in your life, seen a NHL goalie’s poor play excused like this? The guy has an .861 sv% after 9 games and it seems just fine with everyone.

Only one question to Martin St. Louis about goaltending and Marty said he’s not worried. Okay. Monty one of the worst goalies in league but why worry right? L’Antichambre won’t even mention Monty. Okay. Only in Montreal.

RDS dudes just ain’t gonna say anything about Monty. Amazing and not in a good way.

What? Did Andy just score? Actually amazing shot. And what a play by Laner.

It’s the youngest team in the league against the oldest. Young Lane, meet super old Drew.

Monty has the 61st "best" GAA in the NHL. I'm not arguing with Marty keeping him as the No. 1 I'm just mentioning a rather astonishing stat. Yes he's been better in the last week but he's No. 61. Who even knew the list went that high. ;) Dobes is 10th. He can cry if he wants to. It's his party.

À propos of nothing, here's Iggy explaining why he never wears a shirt on stage: "I don't know why. I feel lost in a shirt. I just get lost.”

The Cirque du Soleil has appointed a former British Army officer as their CEO! Okay. 🤔 Wow they've come a long way for the days when the boss was a former street performer.

C'est une excellente chronique. Les dirigeants des Canadiens qui fréquentent le bar local. Cela symbolise vraiment la nouvelle culture des Canadiens.

What a true phenomenon! Brilliant artist. You should also check out her fourth album 'Triste animal' that came out in May. Stripped back, letting her voice shine. Une vraie artiste!

Here's my column on Lou-Adriane Cassidy, the 28-year-old singer-songwriter who won all the hardware at the ADISQ Gala. She is one of the hottest pop stars in Quebec and she just came out and said she'd vote 'oui' in a referendum. montrealgazette.com/entertainmen...
Who is Lou-Adriane Cassidy? She is one of the hottest pop stars in Quebec AND she's a sovereignist
Cassidy won four Félix trophies at Sunday's ADISQ awards show, including female artist of the year. Brendan Kelly explains why.

This point absolutely correct and I will add that Mamdani demonstrates that an insurgency, even one with real moral clarity and anger at the status quo, can still be cheerful and inviting.

Here's my Friday on My Mind column. Main item is on Léa Pool's film On sera heureux, a powerful if uneven drama about two refugees in Montreal. Pool says the focus is the love story not the politics. Features some fine acting from Aron Archer and Mehdi Meskar. montrealgazette.com/entertainmen...
Friday on My Mind: Léa Pool's On sera heureux is about love more than politics
Also: Quebec rock band Vilain Pingouin does one final show, and Louise Lecavalier has a new dance production.

Just saw Lou-Adriane Cassidy and Ariane Roy perform on the ADISQ Gala and it was positively electric. If you have any interest in the present or future of Québécois music, you need to check out both of these artists.
