Alright so Metroid Prime 4 is awesome.
Looks gorgeous, feels great to play, LOTS of scanning.
But, it is a bit more linear than I’d like so far. And there’s no way around it, the chatty NPC is definitely annoying.
Overall, still an amazing experience though. We really got a true Metroid Prime 4!

Alright so Metroid Prime 4 is awesome.

I’m seeing that Matrix UHD collection going on sale, and I’m really tempted to finally own those in 4K, but it’s such a bummer it doesn’t include The Animatrix.

Just fired up the original HD version, and yeah, I just absolutely love the soft stylized visuals of the original. MGS Delta isn’t bad, but it’s clear they lost something in going to the realistic graphics.
Finally trying out MGS Delta after picking it up from the library. I can’t believe I forgot how fucking cool the original game was. The uncanny realistic graphics isn’t bad, but I do miss the style of the original.

Silksong is such a perfect example of this, not just because there’s a crazy amount of quality content packed into the $20 price tag. But also because it became THE game to joke about how long it was taking to make. Truly the most anti-MVP game of all time.

How about Maximum Viable Product.
What's a game you've played that's not just trying to squeeze out a few sales before moving on, but is trying to accomplish 100% of its goals and does so plus more?
Examples in my opinion: Stardew Valley, Baldur's Gate 3, Void Stranger

Man, this game is just so cool. Kojima was really cooking. Almost makes me want to play Death Stranding 2, but I got kinda bored of the gameplay loop in Death Stranding 1…

So, I’m still gonna play it. It’s one of my favorite series of all time. But I’d be lying if I said this didn’t dampen my excitement for what I thought was going to be a pretty solid lock-in for my GOTY.
