The Scopes Monkey Trial began 100 years ago today. So I guess I'll re-watch this classic film, which is itself 65 years old.
I've come to appreciate actor Fredric March. He humanizes Matthew Harrison Brady. Brady's still a jackass, but he's not a cartoon villain.

Ted Cruz says there is a time to have political fights, but now is not that time. It's never that time. How are we doing on guns? Since there hasn't been a mass shooting today, maybe now is a good time to talk about it. Because when there is a mass shooting, that's a bad time to discuss.

This is fucked. We should expect other countries to start asking the same of us, or at least requiring a visa for travel, in retaliation. This practice won’t make us any safer and will help Palantir build a social media surveillance system that will be turned on us.

ICE says it wasn’t them. DHS says they were Border Patrol. But honestly who the hell knows? They’ve given permission for any psycho to put on a ski mask, point a gun, grab people & throw them into an unmarked vehicle.
