‘Twas one year ago today that I started my #SantaBarbaraNBC rewatch journey alongside my pal @johnathonk.bsky.social, and though some cute Australians slowed my progress a bit, I’m 147 episodes in and still chugging along. (A few of y’all are following along, and I deeply appreciate the love!!)
Welp, a journey of … 2137 episodes … begins with a single step. As some of y’all might know from the Other Place, an absolute angel human among us made every single millisecond of #SantaBarbara — probs my 2nd-fave soap ever after #OLTL — available to me, and I’m finally ready to jump in feet first.

At the doctor getting a checkup and an x-ray and I JUST realized, while standing at the imaging check-in desk waiting for the lady to process me, that my polo shirt is on inside out 😭😭😭 🤦🏻♂️ #idiot

The show is about half thrillingly brilliant and half appallingly messy, but William Robert Thornton on #Landman is the reason the sun rises in the EAST, y’all, idc. Get INTO it!!
I already knew, thanks, that #Landman is back for its second season this weekend, but the tv set mounted directly in front of my preferred elliptical machine at the gym sure did it’s damnedest to remind me anyway, playing the commercial literally every 2-3 minutes during my workout just now. 🤦🏻♂️😭
I’m telling y’all, #Landman is IT and Billy Bob Thornton is the reason the birds chirp in the morningtime !!!!

Part of @billsimmons.bsky.social’s #MusicBox doc series for HBO, the archival material unearthed for this is spectacularly thorough, and the interviews are moving and incredibly insightful. So, there was clearly an edit done between the version that the New York Post saw and the one that premiered on YouTube yesterday. 🤣🤨 The highlighted portion — Genie’s misremembered whine about never having been nominated for a Lead Actress Emmy — got, presto!, snipped right out of the final cut! ✂️

Even laying aside the fact that Kelly herself was the literal prey of a sexual predator (!) and herself has a 14-year-old daughter (!!), this is crazy. Legit CRAZY. (And the other chick just nodding along is wild!!)
