Congrats to Brandeis MRSEC research scientist Thomas Videbæk and co-authors on their publication in PNAS! In it they examine how fluctuations in pairs of self-assembling nanoparticles can be used to predict larger-scale assembly outcomes. You can read their paper here: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

The Brandeis MRSEC had a strong showing at the Gordon Research Conference on Soft Condensed Matter Physics this month! While we couldn't take pictures of the cutting-edge science, we could take pictures of the delicious food.

Everyone had a blast at the MRSEC field trip to Great Brook Farm State Park! We had a nice nature walk around Meadow Pond and devoured some scrumptious ice cream afterward 🍦

We are loving the new Tundra Cryo TEM in Brandeis' Electron Microscopy Center! MRSEC researchers are already using it to study the binding-angle flexibility of vertex-bound DNA-origami dimers.
