I'm an editor at Business Insider. I used to be an editor at The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, Bloomberg and the Omaha World-Herald. Omahan in New York. Hi!
The old "buy vs. rent" rule is officially dead. And @katienotopoulos.bsky.social breaks it down on our new video podcast for Business Insider. It's great! youtu.be/vdLZMgXHvYQ?...

The big question everyone's been wondering about #tariffs: Will Katie's Temu order from last week incur the new duty fees? www.businessinsider.com/temu-order-t...
I have a shipment coming from Temu. Am I going to have to pay a giant fee?

@pkafka.bsky.social offers a non-preachy (well, maybe a little preachy) way to think about Newsmax's mega valuation, on @businessinsider.com

Meta's moves to squash ex-staffer's book 'Careless People' might actually be drawing more attention to it

Why does the US need a strategic bitcoin reserve? And how will it work? @pkafka.bsky.social is perplexed — and it seems lots of other people are, too. Even bitcoin boosters: www.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-stra...
Can someone who isn't a huge bitcoin booster explain why the US has a bitcoin reserve?
Donald Trump officially opened the US strategic bitcoin reserve. There's a big question no one can seem to answer: What is that and why do we need it?

Of all the problems in the world right now, there is one that is particularly of vast importance to me: it's incredibly annoying that Netflix/Hulu/Peacock/etc all have slightly different UI for how to turn on closed captioning www.businessinsider.com/captions-str...
I demand that streaming apps standardize how to turn on captions
Streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Max make it so hard to turn on captions. Just look at my experience. I'm tired of it! Can we make it easier?
